What is the difference between 'fanning' and 'bookmarking'?

On StageAgent, both fanning and bookmarking help you keep track of content you enjoy—but they serve different purposes:

⭐

Fanning

When you fan an item—like a show, character, monologue, or article—you’re showing your appreciation for it publicly.

  • Your fan adds to the public fan count displayed on the item’s page.
  • It helps signal quality and elevate great content within the StageAgent community.
  • You can fan as many items as you want!

Fanning is a great way to support content you love and help others discover it.

Bookmarking

When you bookmark an item, it’s saved privately to your Bookmarks page for easy access later.

  • Bookmarks are only visible to you.
  • They’re perfect for keeping track of materials you want to study, use in an audition, or reference later.
  • You can organize your favorite monologues, songs, show guides, and more.

To view your bookmarks, go to your profile dropdown menu and select Bookmarks.”
